Founded by Aadesh Sharma, Vydushak is a creative arts organisation dedicated to creating engaging, entertaining, and meaningful experiences through theatre and the performing arts. Our work brings together drama, humour, music, movement, and imaginative storytelling to create performances that connect with audiences across India.
Since its first commercial production in 2023, Vydushak has developed a diverse repertoire spanning contemporary theatre, adaptations, experimental productions, family entertainment, and original storytelling. The organisation has established a growing presence in Mumbai and beyond, with productions presented at prominent theatre spaces and toured across cities in India.
A significant part of Vydushak’s journey has been its work at Prithvi Theatre, Mumbai, where productions such as 6 Feet Apart and Raj Kachori & the Time Machine have received critical appreciation. 6 Feet Apart, a contemporary reimagining of Chekhov’s Ivanov, explores human relationships and emotional isolation through an accessible and contemporary theatrical language. Raj Kachori & the Time Machine, a desi cyberpunk adventure for young audiences, combines humour, imagination, music, and theatrical spectacle to create an immersive experience for children and families.
Vydushak has also taken its productions beyond Mumbai. Neem Hakeem Khatra-e-Jaan, an adaptation of Molière’s The Imaginary Invalid, and River Moving Through Desert or Bus Stand have travelled to cities including Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai, bringing Vydushak’s work to diverse audiences across India.
Our repertoire reflects an ongoing commitment to creating theatre that is entertaining while remaining rooted in strong storytelling and artistic exploration. From comedy and contemporary adaptations to music, movement, and imaginative theatre for younger audiences, Vydushak seeks to create performances that are accessible, memorable, and capable of bringing people together.
Alongside its productions, Vydushak works towards building opportunities for artists, developing new creative collaborations, and contributing to a vibrant performing arts ecosystem.
At Vydushak, we believe that theatre is at its most powerful when it creates a shared experience between the artist and the audience: one laugh, one song, and one story at a time.
Vydushak Natya Mahotsav brings a colossal, chaos-filled, fun-packed comedy musical brimming with emotion, drama, music, and entertainment. This desi story follows a quirky family centered around a father obsessed with his health, constantly falling prey to manipulative doctors. Meanwhile, his daughter dreams of marrying the man she loves, but her father has very different plans.
Vydushak's 6 Feet Apart is a tragicomic moral murder mystery set in the quiet aftermath of a lockdown.
Nine neighbours share a building and a secret, as love, guilt, and grief simmer behind closed doors.
When a woman dies under unclear circumstances, questions of responsibility and morality rise to the surface.
Blending sharp humour with emotional depth, the play asks a haunting question: Who really killed her, and who simply moved on?
Vydushak Natya Mahotsav takes you to a remote bus stand in the middle of nowhere, four strangers, a man, a woman, a tea vendor, and a bus conductor, wait for a bus that may or may not arrive.
As time stretches, they begin to observe, imagine, and unravel each other's lives. What starts as quiet curiosity turns into an absurd, reality bending exploration of perception, identity, and human nature.
Blurring the line between truth and imagination, the performance draws the audience into its world, where waiting becomes the story and everyone present becomes a part of it.
Vydushak Natya Mahotsav brings back Raj Kachori and the Time Machine after a whole year. Step into a desi comicverse where time glitches, identities flip, and the absurd is just part of everyday life. It’s loud, wild, emotional, and unapologetically weird, with SRK worshipping cops, double minded brothers, time reversing uncles, and a love story bubbling beneath all the chaos. This isn’t just a play. It’s a masaledar stage multiverse where fantasy meets nostalgia and madness takes centre stage. A wildly entertaining theatrical experience for kids, parents, and everyone in between, Raj Kachori and the Time Machine is the perfect family outing for anyone ready to laugh, get surprised, and travel through time together.

What begins as an experiment soon spirals into an outrageous adventure filled with magical transformations, unlikely friendships, a lovable monster companion, and a superhero-style cop determined to restore order.
Blending Indian humour with a vibrant cyberpunk aesthetic, Raj-Kachori & the Time Machine is an original theatrical spectacle packed with music, comedy, imagination, and visual wonder. Created for children and families alike, the play celebrates curiosity, creativity, and the joy of embracing the unexpected—because once time breaks, absolutely anything can happen.
Neem Hakeem Khatra-e-Jaan is a vibrant, quintessentially Indian family entertainer filled with laughter, lively music, energetic dance, and wholesome masti. Rooted in classic Indian humour, the play brings together colourful characters and heartwarming chaos for an unforgettable theatrical experience suitable for audiences of all ages.
Raj Kachori and the Time Machine is a fun-filled family adventure that blends science fiction, fantasy, and Indian storytelling into a thrilling theatrical experience. Packed with humour, music, dance, and larger-than-life characters, the play takes audiences of all ages on an imaginative journey through time, celebrating curiosity, courage, and the joy of dreaming big.
6 Feet Apart is a contemporary social drama that explores domestic abuse, women's healthcare, and emotional isolation with honesty and sensitivity. While tackling these difficult themes, the play never lets go of entertainment, seamlessly weaving humour, music, and dance into a powerful theatrical experience that is as engaging as it is thought-provoking.
River Moving Through Desert (Bus Stand) is an abstract and experimental theatrical experience that blurs the boundaries between theatre and cinema. Through poetic imagery, fragmented storytelling, and intimate human encounters, the play explores loneliness, memory, and hope, inviting audiences to interpret its evocative world in their own unique way.
